A group of students from the Polytechnic University of Tirana, enrolled in the Materials Engineering Masters Program, chose the premises of ANTEA Cement to learn about cement and its manufacturing process.
Construction materials and their quality, are one of the main elements in this branch of studies and the study visit to the plant proved to be very effective. Among others, students were able to get a first hand insight on the series of processes that the plant performs, which is directly linked to their area of studies.
Through an open lecture, experts and engineers of the company explained in detail the entire process, from raw materials up to the qualitative production of the final product.
The students were also presented with the high standards of the technology used and they would witness in person the high level of professional expertise in the plant.
A dedicated visit was organized in the premises of the laboratory of the product where students could have a direct participatory experience into the process of sampling and analysis of the product and get acquainted with the key indicators of quality for cement.
This study visit triggered the curiosity of the students and attracted their attention to further learn about the serious commitment and the international standards that ANTEA Cement applies as a leader in the production of cement, in the management systems as well as in the treatment of the raw material.
This activity is part of a series of initiatives that ANTEA Cement undertakes in supporting higher education and cutting edge knowledge on industrial processes in Albania.
